200-86000
2-Axis Ultrasonic Anemometer

The 200-86000 2D Ultrasonic Anemometer offers high performance, low cost, and compact size. Loaded with standard options, this sensor is ideal for the most demanding sensing requirements.

The 200-86000 series has undergone full wind tunnel testing and calibration to ensure reliable and accurate wind measurements. This line offers high performance at a low cost in a compact size. These sensors are ideal for the most demanding sensing applications and come with a variety of standard functions. They feature a durable, corrosion-resistant construction and ultrasonic transducers that are sensitive and secured in a streamlined molded frame. The sensors can be installed on readily available one-inch pipes. Cable wires connect to reliable, convenient terminals in a weatherproof junction box, eliminating the need for special mounting adapters, connectors, and cables. Standard outputs include analog voltage and RS232 serial connections. For use in industrial settings where noise immunity is important, the sensors also include 4-20 mA current and RS485 serial outputs.* A variety of serial data formats are provided, including ASCII text, RMYT (compatible with RM Young displays), and NMEA for marine use. An SDI-12 model is also available.

The 200-86000-SDI Ultrasonic Anemometer is a specialized version of Model 86000.  This model operates similarly to Model 86000 but utilizes SDI-12 (v1.3) serial communication protocol to minimize power consumption.

The 200-86004 Heated Ultrasonic Anemometer features thermostatically controlled heaters in the transducer and housing surfaces. The wind speed range is reduced with the heated model.

The 200-86106 Marine Ultrasonic Anemometer arrives fully calibrated and ready to use. If using the sensor with a NMEA 0183 compatible device, no configuration changes are required. Unless otherwise specified, the sensor is configured as follows:

FACTORY DEFAULT CONFIGURATION (Model 200-86106)

RS-485/422 NMEA OUTPUT:
- Channel VI1.Y: Y Inverted
- Channel VI2.Z: Z Non-Inverted

*Not all outputs available simultaneously.
