The 230-PTB110 Series of analog barometers uses a unique BAROCAP silicon capacitive absolute pressure sensor. This sensor utilises the exceptional elasticity of single-crystal silicon to achieve excellent repeatability and low hysteresis, as well as very good temperature and long-term stability. It can also withstand overpressure and mechanical shocks with no effect on performance.

The 230-PTB110 Barometer is designed for both accurate barometric pressure measurements at room temperature and general environmental pressure monitoring over a wide temperature range. It uses the Vaisala BAROCAP® sensor, a silicon capacitive absolute pressure sensor developed for barometric pressure measurement applications. It combines the exceptional elasticity and mechanical stability characteristics of single-crystal silicon with the reliable capacitive detection principle.

Thanks to its excellent long-term stability, the barometer minimizes or even eliminates the need for field adjustment in many applications. The PTB110 is suitable for various applications, including environmental pressure monitoring, data buoys and laser interferometers, as well as in agriculture and hydrology. Its low power consumption makes the compact PTB110 especially ideal for data logger applications. An external on/off control is also available. This is useful when electricity supply is limited.
