The 395-USB Sensor Junction Box connects weather sensors to computers via USB. It includes a 12V power supply and an earth grounding wire. The USB converter usually loads the correct driver automatically on most Windows computers, providing a virtual COM port that can be accessed via a terminal program or other software. Drivers are available for several other operating systems. The J-Box and AC adapter are designed for indoor use and are usually mounted within a few feet of the connected computer. Plug the AC adapter into an outlet with a surge suppressor and connect the grounding wire to an earth ground.
