260-RGAI-70 Rain Gauge Analog Interface

Rain Gauge Analog Interface
260-RGAI-70 Rain Gauge Analog Interface
The 260-RGAI-70 Rain Gauge Interface converts the signal from a tipping bucket rain gauge into a 4-20 mA current loop signal, ideal for input to a PLC or SCADA system. Each tip of the rain gauge bucket causes the output signal to increase 1% of full scale. Full scale represents 100 tips of the bucket.
Product Details

Applications

  • Meterological Studies
  • Irrigation Monitoring/Control

Features

  • +/- 1% Accuracy
  • 4-20 mA Loop Powered
  • 12-24 Vdc Input
  • NEMA Enclosure
  • Rain Detector Mode (4mA = no rain, 20mA = rain detected)

The 260-RGAI-70 can be used with any tipping bucket gauge that has a dry contact output. The calibration of the gauge can be inches or millimeters. A common calibration unit is 0.01" of rainfall per tip of the bucket. In this case, the full scale output (20mA) represents 1 inch of rain. The output remains constant at the end of each tip until the next tip occurs.
